2001

2002

  • In response to growing consumer interest in Lebanese cuisine, MTY Group develops VILLA MADINA - Mediterranean Cuisine.
  • With the aim of further expanding the company and entering a new segment, MTY Group acquires CROISSANT PLUS.
  • Through a strategic alliance with Au Vieux Duluth Restaurants Inc., MTY Group becomes the franchisor of AU VIEUX DULUTH EXPRESS.

2003

  • MTY Group puts down roots in both Ontario and the healthy foods segment of the quick service market with the acquisiton of CULTURES.

2004

  • Seeing strong potential in the new THAÏ EXPRESS concept, MTY Group pursues the opportunity and adds this concept to its several banners.
  • MTY Group acquires MRS. VANELLI'S the largest Italian quick service chain in Canadian food courts, further strengthening its commanding position in the country.

2005

  • The company acquires the exclusive Canadian franchise rights for The Country's Best Yogurt (TCBY).

2006

  • MTY Group negotiates the exclusive rights to franchise YOGEN FRÜZ in Canada.
  • KIM CHI - Korean Delight, a new concept developed by MTY Group, is launched at the Montreal Eaton Centre.
  • MTY Group taps into the success of SUSHI SHOP, adding the pioneering concept in take-out sushi to its fast-growing family.
  • With its acquisition of KOYA JAPAN, MTY Group claims leadership in the Japanese quick service industry.

2008

  • VIE & NAM - Vietname Cuisine, a new concept developed by MTY group, is launched et La Place Vertu.
  • With the aim of further expanding the company and entering a new segment, MTY Group acquires TUTTI FRUTTI.
  • In response to growing consumer interest for Indian cuisine, MTY Group develops TANDORI - Indian Cuisine.
  • The company acquires the exclusive Canadian franchise rights for TACO TIME.

2009

  • The Company acquires Country Style Food Services Holdings Inc. on May 1, 2009. As at the acquisition date, there were, 117 Coutry Style traditional restaurants, 348 non-traditional Country Style outlets as well as 15 Bunsmaster retail outlets.
